I live in the high desert town of Pahrump, Nevada. We are located west of Las Vegas Nevada between the Spring Mountains and the California Nopah Mountains.
I offer classes in oil painting using the wet in wet method originally showcased on PBS stations by William (Bill) Alexander. I use techniques that I have learned while studying with well known artists Wilson Bickford, Walt Burger, Buck Paulson, Robert Warren, Bill Bayer, Johnnie Lillidahl, Joyce Ortner, and Gary Jenkins. I took classes with these master artists while attending Creative Painting in Las Vegas and the Alexander Art Painting Seminars at Silver Falls State Park in Oregon.
As well as teaching I paint seascapes, landscapes, florals, and pet portraits. For craft shows I do fabric painting and because of the years spent in Alaska I paint a few Gold Pans .
Sometimes I wonder, "Why am I doing Art ?"
Because, there's nothing else I'd rather be doing!
